Project 1 – Video
First National Bank of Chicago – 1993
Due Sunday January 9, 2005 prior to midnight

Focus on the check clearing process at the bank. Answer all questions specifically in relation to the information presented in the video and as it applies to this specific organization. No theoretical answers or quotes from the book. Be clear and specific. Number your answers.

For purposes of this project, single space your answers with one blank line between questions. Prepare in Microsoft Word and e-mail as an attachment to me rkulzick@stu.edu prior to the deadline. No late papers accepted. Indicate your name(s) on the paper. Be sure to place a subject on your e-mail and indicate in the text what specifically is attached.

      B. Why is it important to FNBC?  

2.         A. What is turnaround time? What does it mean in this organization?

            B. How does it impact processes?

3.         A. Why is scheduling important?

            B. Why is scheduling a problem at FNBC?

4.    List the steps in the check clearing process (at least 7) in sequence. Briefly explain (1-2 sentences) what each is, and why it is done in the presented order. You must list all the steps.

5.         A. What is performance measurement at FNBC?

            B. How does it relate to productivity?

            C. How does it relate to quality?
