Project 4
Due Sunday November 12, 2006 prior to midnight

See the text page 182-185 Extensive Case 2. This is a joint paper and must be prepared and submitted jointly. Be clear and organized in your presentation.

1. Prepare the ratio analysis per the sample on page 184.

2. Prepare the horizontal analysis per the sample on page 184 for BOTH the income statement and the balance sheet.

3. Prepare the vertical analysis per the sample on page 185 for BOTH the income statement and the balance sheet.

4. Outline in an organized manner, each item from your analyses in #1-#3 that displays a symptom of possible fraud. For each, explain why the number is suspicious and for what possible types of fraud it could be a symptom.

For purposes of this project, single space your answers with one blank line between sections. Prepare in Microsoft Word and e-mail as an attachment to me rk@kulzick.com prior to the deadline. No late papers accepted. Indicate your names on the paper. Be sure to place a subject on your e-mail and indicate in the text what specifically is attached.

See Written Quizzes on my website for specific directions on submission.

I will not accept separate Excel worksheets. Everything must be in one professionally prepared and properly formatted Word document. All of an exhibit should be on one page. Print it out and be sure it will print out correctly for me.
