Project 6
Due Sunday November 26, 2006 prior to midnight

This is an individual paper and must be prepared and submitted individually. Be clear and organized in your presentation. This paper is limited to 6 pages; I will deduct for longer papers.

See extensive case 1 on pages 386-388 of the text. Answer the following questions.

1. Calculate the 2005 and 2004 liquidity and equity ratios identified in the table on page 388. Also calculate the change and percentage change for the ratios and complete the table.

2. Based on these ratios only, where do you think fraud may have occurred? Support your position.

3. Calculate any additional ratios and complete any additional analyses you feel might be helpful in further isolating the possible areas of fraud. Present these analyses.

4. Can you draw any additional conclusions regarding areas of potential fraud? What are they? Support your position.

For purposes of this project, single space your answers with one blank line between sections. Prepare in Microsoft Word and e-mail as an attachment to me at rk@kulzick.com prior to the deadline. No late papers accepted. Indicate your names on the paper. Be sure to place a subject on your e-mail and indicate in the text what specifically is attached.

I will not accept separate Excel worksheets. Everything must be in one professionally prepared and properly formatted Word document. All of an exhibit should be on one page. Print it out and be sure it will print out correctly for me.
