1.  Determine at least five specific ways that new system improves efficiency. Do not include anything in addressed in questions #2 through #5. For each:

A. Explain specifically how the task was accomplished under the old system. If not done, explain and support that.

C. Clearly explain how the new system improves efficiency. Support your answer.

A. Explain specifically how the task was accomplished under the old system. If not done, explain and support that.

B. Explain specifically and in detail how the task is accomplished under the new system.

C. Clearly explain how the new system increases sales. Support your answer.

3. Batch and online: 

A. Is there batch input? If so, give specific examples, if not support why not.

B. Is there batch processing? If so, give specific examples, if not support why not.

C. Is there online input? If so, give specific examples, if not support why not.

D. Is there online processing? If so, give specific examples, if not support why not.

4. Kuhlman states that they treat customers and data as “global.” In relation to this concept, specifically explain how it impacts each of the following. Support your answers.

A. Sales in individual stores.

B. Internet sales

5. Is any part of the system described a strategic information system?  If you say yes, you must explain specifically what the strategic advantage is and how the system provides it. If you say no, you must fully support why the system is not strategic.  You must use the criteria discussed in class and fully support your answer.
