1. Old system problems

A. List and briefly explain at least 4 different specific problems with the old system. Be sure your explanation includes the effects on the business.

B. For each problem in A, state how the new system solves (or doesn't solve) the specific problem and its effects on the business.

2. Systems analysis and design

A. List each of the first four steps in the traditional systems life cycle model, and for each step (label them 1 through 4), briefly explain, what was done in that step in this case.

B. Specifically propose and support at least 4 specific and different changes that could have been made in how this was done that might have improved the result. Refer to which step each change applies.

3. Systems implementation:

A. List each of the three steps in the implementation phase of the traditional systems life cycle model, and for each step (label them 1 through 3), briefly explain, what was done in that step in this case.

B. Specifically propose and support at least 3 specific and different changes that could have been made in how this was done that might have improved the result. Refer to which step each change applies.

4. Distributed/centralized hardware:

A. Is this system distributed or centralized processing (hardware)? Use the definition given in class. Be specific in fully supporting your position.

B. Was this the best solution for this company at this time? Be specific and COMPLETE in supporting your position.
