            A. Clearly state each goal, numbering them.

            A. Specifically define and explain what is meant by a vertically integrated package (VIP). Be sure to differentiate from standard software packages.

            C. List and explain at least three specific disadvantages to this company in this application of VIP versus developing the application themselves. No generic or theoretical answers. Be specific to VIP, not to the application system.

            D. Was the use of a VIP appropriate and the best solution for this company in this application? Support your answer completely. Be specific to VIP, not to the application system.

3. The case states that the system is accessible from the doctors homes.

            A. Fully define computer security.

            B. Discuss completely at least three specific computer security issues (possible problems) raised by the new system. No generic answers

            C. Fully define privacy. Be sure to differentiate from security.

            D. Discuss completely at least three specific computer privacy issues (possible problems) raised by the new system. No generic answers.

            E. Discuss fully at least three specific solutions to either the privacy issues raised in D or the security issues raised in B. Identify each solution with the problems it is meant to solve and indicate how it solves that specific problem. No generic answers.

4. EDI

            A. Is this application EDI? How or how not? Use the definition discussed in class, breaking it down into its three parts and discussing each part separately. Be SPECIFC and complete in supporting your position and providing examples. Any assumptions you make should be clearly stated and labeled as assumptions (with explanation as to why they are reasonable).
