 1.  Systems analysis and design

A.  List each of the first four steps in the traditional systems life cycle model, and for each step (label them 1 through 4), briefly explain, what was done in that step in this case.

2.  Systems implementation:

B.  Specifically propose and support at least 3 specific and different changes that could have been made in how this was done that might have improved the result. Refer to which step each change applies. Do not include anything from questions 3, 4, or 5.

3.  Prototyping - According to the case, prototyping was used in this application.

A. List and briefly explain at least 3 advantages of prototyping in this situation.

B. List and briefly explain at least 3 disadvantages of prototyping in this situation.

C. Was this the best solution for this company at this time?  Be specific and COMPLETE in supporting your position.

4.  Communications - This application uses a dial-up network. Address this versus using the Internet. Do NOT discuss the application itself, only communications.

A. List and briefly explain at least 3 advantages of a dial-up network in this situation.

B. List and briefly explain at least 3 disadvantages of a dial-up network in this situation.

C. Was this the best solution for this company at this time?  Be specific and COMPLETE in supporting your position.

5.  EDI:

A. Is this application EDI? How or how not? Use the definition discussed in class, breaking it down into its three parts and discussing each part separately. Be SPECIFIC in supporting your position and providing examples.
